(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Having an interview with NasrTV, senior Turkish Shia scholars, Selahattin Ozgunduz talked about the necessity of unity among the Muslims. Being asked about Syrian crisis he analyzed the current situation of Syria and insisted on the incredible role of the Imperialist powers and some of the gulf kings in the ongoing chaos. He condemned the foreign fighter who are fighting in Syria in the name of Islam and he said that: “There are Afghans who are always attacked by the US, Pakistanis who have been undermined by Americans every day, people from Chechnya whose country is occupied by other countries and their ancestors have been killed by them, and fight in Syria for five thousand dollars. What are they fighting with? What do they want to save? No one has occupied Syria. So what are these fighters, as they call themselves Muslims, doing there in Syria? Whom are they saving Syria from? Syria is not being governed by anyone who is not Syrian. If they care so much and want to help, first they should start with Afghanistan and throw out the occupiers. Then they can go to Iraq and throw out the 15 thousand American soldiers who are still there. They can throw out the American puppets in Bahrain, Yemen and Saudi Arabia; if they are heroes they should do these things.”Senior Shiite scholar continued his words by indicating that: “Syria stands independent and another point is that though they don’t have mines or oil, they have a good economy. And also they have freedom and justice more than any other Islamic country. And now when the King of Saudi Arabia or his friends say that they want to bring democracy to Syria everyone makes fun of it. Now, this Syria must be destroyed. Just the Syrian people have resisted more than what they thought. They showed unity. Because they knew that though different countries have different aims from the unrest in Syria. Israel and the Imperialists want to divide the country and create religious differences.”He believes that after the crisis being started in Syria the world will not be the same as it was in the past. He mentioned his idea about the future and said: “Since the day they have started attacking Syria, the world is not the same as it was before. It means that Imperialist and anti-Imperialist powers are fighting in Syria. Who will win? If the anti-Imperialists win, the influence of some World’s policies will increase. Iran’s power and effect will become clear for everyone. And also Russia will hold on to its power in the world.”/129
